Tower of Refuge

 

Ps. 9: 9 – 10

The Lord also will be a REFUGE and a HIGH TOWER [a place where your enemy cannot reach you] for the oppressed [crushed, broken, dejected, afflicted and unhappy],

a REFUGE and a STRONGHOLD in times of trouble [destitution and desperation].

And THEY WHO KNOW YOUR NAME [who have experienced Your mercy and grace]

will lean on and confidently put their TRUST IN YOU,

for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek [inquire of and for] You [on the authority of God's Word and the right of their necessity].

Lord, can we even count the times have we had to run for our lives to You to find safety from Satan, who was literally crushing us in both body & soul? In Your sacred refuge, we know we are safe and will find direction, guidance & power to once again be Overcomers!
