Do not allow your MOUTH to CAUSE [to start into motion] the BODY to SIN,
and DO NOT SAY before the angel, that IT WAS AN ERROR or MISTAKE.
Why should God be [made] angry at your voice [with your excuses]
and destroy the work of your hands?

Pray the Word:
Lord, it’s an understatement to say that it’s our mouth that causes us the most trouble. To learn to keep our mouth under control and not let words fly out from it that we should have kept to ourselves. . . is a daily task! ! ! Help me to be able to keep quiet when I need to and not utter anything rash, foolish, hurtful or unnecessary.
