deliver me from the hands [power, jurisdiction and care] of my foes



and from [the power, jurisdiction and care of] those who pursue [hound] me and persecute [harass and persistently trouble] me.

Pray the Word:

Lord, as hard as I’ve tried, I haven’t done so well when I’ve tried to  manage my life’s course. I know in my heart that the affairs and events of my life are under Your control and that there’s nothing left to chance for a Child of God. I want to be more readily to release into Your hands my ups and my downs, my health and my sickness, my poverty and my wealth — Oh, for grace to trust You more!
