Matt. 19:24
Again I tell you,
it is easier for a CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE [the utter impossibility of the effort to squeeze the former through the latter]
than for a rich man [one who loves his resources/possessions, puts his trust in them and excessively desires them above all else]
it is easier for a CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE [the utter impossibility of the effort to squeeze the former through the latter]
than for a rich man [one who loves his resources/possessions, puts his trust in them and excessively desires them above all else]
to go into the kingdom of heaven. [for God requires to be first in our love, trust and desires]

Pray the Word:
Pray the Word:
Lord, over time we’ve heard that wealth and prosperity were a sign of Your blessing – and, then, on the other hand, we’ve heard the opposite portraying them as a hindrance to salvation—which they can be—but so can many other things. Because we live in a consumer-driven society and this life that requires such emphasis on money – we need to be reminded that, while money and resources are necessary and our ambitions and desires may be honorable . . . it’s UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE and useless to try through our own efforts alone to save ourselves - it is from Your mercy and grace alone.

Thank you for reading my blog of thoughts, encouragement and instructions the Lord speaks about to me. It is simply my therapy to write down these things as I walk my journey out with Him. I would love to hear back from you. Each new day is a blessing! Dorothy
