But THIS MAN, [Jesus Christ, our High Priest]

AFTER HE HAD OFFERED ONE SACRIFICE FOR SIN FOREVER, [dying on the cross once; not to be repeated; and will not be repeated, for it was sufficient! ! !]

SAT DOWN ON THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD. [absolutely satisfied with His accomplished redemption; God, the Father, is thrilled; the Holy Spirit is delighted; and all the angels in glory are overwhelmed by it]

Pray the Word:

Lord, Lord, Lord . . . . HELP US TO SIT DOWN and consider what Christ has done for us and be absolutely satisfied with it; knowing that there’s nothing we can ‘do’ to add to it or improve upon it!  Forgive us when we feel we must contribute a little bit to the work that Christ has done by throwing in some gifts of our own - offering a little growth, some progress, a little suffering, some witnessing, and a taste of pain in ’walking by faith’. HELP US TO SIT DOWN –absolutely satisfied -  and rest in the accomplished redemption of Christ for us. It is enough!
