Heb. 11:8
[Urged on] by faith, [requiring unquestionable confidence in God of extraordinary strength]
Abraham, when he was CALLED BY GOD, [to leave what made him feel secure]
OBEYED AND WENT FORTH [given orders from headquarters and REPORTED FOR DUTY!]
to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance; [his obedience displayed his faith]
and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go. [This is what he did know: it was a distant country; that it lay beyond a pathless desert, and he knew of no one who had ever gone there before]

Pray the Word:
Lord, You have taken us from what’s ‘oh so familiar’ and redirected our paths into the unfamiliar. We don’t understand what’s happening in our life - what to do or where to go. The only thing we know is that You gave us a ‘word’ (instructions, a promise, a vision) and the only thing we have to hold on to is that ‘word’. During this time, we ask that You place within us Your spirit of joy, peace and rest. Thank you for clarity, guidance, provision and strength as we unquestionably obey Your orders and are REPORTING FOR DUTY, Sir!

Thank you for reading my blog of thoughts, encouragement and instructions the Lord speaks about to me. It is simply my therapy to write down these things as I walk my journey out with Him. I would love to hear back from you. Each new day is a blessing! Dorothy
