I set TREASURERS OVER THE STOREROOM: [in charge of looking after God’s sacred treasures]

Shelemiah the PRIEST, [teaching elder, clergy]

Zadok the SCRIBE, [ writer, scholar]

and Pedaiah of the LEVITES; [devoted to the service of the sanctuary]

ASSISTING them was Hanan son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah, [gives aid and support but doesn’t have specialized or professional knowledge of a subject or field]

[four different men with one thing in common]

for THEY WERE COUNTED FAITHFUL . . .

Pray the Word:

Lord, we’re excited to know that You aren’t just searching for the obvious, visible people with leadership skills to be TREASURERS OVER THE STOREROOM, but You are looking for people who can be COUNTED FAITHFUL – having the ability to hang in with an assignment until completed; the willingness to fulfill responsibility year after year, not needing to be praised or thanked or publicly encouraged in order to do so; and to work ‘as unto the Lord’.
