Num. 17:5

And THE ROD [which represented his life, his identity and livelihood, but, most of all, his authority]

OF THE MAN I CHOOSE [It’s all about God’s approval]

SHALL BUD, [will become alive, grow strong and healthy, and powerful]

and I WILL MAKE CEASE FROM ME the murmurings of the Israelites, which they murmur against you. [Does this stop the opposition? No. But, God rids Himself of giving them any consideration – they don’t matter to Him!]

Pray the Word:

Lord, when we’re at a standstill in our lives and areas of our identity, livelihood and authority are being challenged, we feel more like a dry, dead stick than a BUDDING ROD. At these times, remove our own doubts and uncertainties and reassure us that You will silence the opposition around us – as we can be certain that we have A BUDDING FUTURE because we are approved by You through Jesus Christ! And, that is all that matters  .  .  .
