No hope . . yet believed in hope

No hope  .  .  .   yet believed in hope

Rom. 4:18

For Abraham, who AGAINST HOPE [all apparent or usual human reason for hope being long gone]

BELIEVED IN HOPE, [trusted in the power and never-failing faithfulness of what God had promised]

HOPED IN FAITH [by faith in what God had spoken, trusted in the power and never-failing faithfulness of what God had promised]

that he should become the father of many nations, AS HE HAD BEEN PROMISED, ‘So numberless shall your descendants be’.  [a promise given by the power and never-failing faithfulness of God]

Pray the Word:
Lord, it’s hard to believe or have faith in anything when you FEEL HOPELESS – when all the reasoning of sense, logical thinking, or experience, which usually produce and support hope, are nowhere to be found. We seek for that true faith to be able to  AGAINST HOPE - BELIEVE IN HOPE  .  .  .  .  being assured THE HOPE of what You have spoken to us wholly rests in Your power and faithfulness which cannot fail!
