Lk. 10:2
And He [Jesus] said to them,
The harvest indeed is abundant, [there is much ripe grain]
but the workers are few. [in no hurry to cut down the harvest even though it’s laying in the fields spoiling]

Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest [the One who has the care and charge of the whole appointment of grace and is the One who hires the workers]
that He will SEND FORTH [push forcefully out from urgent necessity]
LABORERS INTO HIS HARVEST. [workers who come into the harvest to work, not to become ‘lord’ of it, not to live on the labor of others; knowing it’s going to be hard, unappreciated, frustrating and oppressive at times but having a love, compassion and care for the job and the One who hired them]

Pray the Word:
Lord, it seems that we still are facing the same situation today - not only are the workers few, but many of the workers tramping around in the harvest fields are creating more problems simply because they weren’t HIRED BY YOU. We pray to You, the Lord of the Harvest, that we will have workers CALLED AND APPOINTED BY YOU in this significant time of possibly the last harvest.

Thank you for reading my blog of thoughts, encouragement and instructions the Lord speaks about to me. It is simply my therapy to write down these things as I walk my journey out with Him. I would love to hear back from you. Each new day is a blessing! Dorothy
